Bucs Fans in Panic Mode After Godwin Goes Down With Leg Injury
Oh man, talk about a gut punch for Bucs fans. Monday night's game against the Saints was already a nail-biter, but the atmosphere went from tense to downright panicked when Chris Godwin went down with a scary-looking leg injury.
The injury happened in the first quarter when Godwin was tackled by Saints defensive back Marshon Lattimore. He immediately grabbed at his left leg and the pain was obvious. Godwin was able to walk off the field, but he was clearly in agony and needed support from trainers.
It's Too Early to Know the Severity
The initial diagnosis is a "lower leg injury" which, unfortunately, tells us practically nothing. We're all holding our breath hoping it's not a serious tear or break, but there's no way to know until more tests are done. It's a tough blow for Tampa Bay, especially with the playoffs fast approaching. Godwin is a key part of their offense and his presence is a major factor in their success.
The Bucs Need Godwin Back Soon
Losing Godwin for any extended period of time would be devastating for the Bucs. He's Tom Brady's go-to guy and plays a vital role in their passing game. The Bucs already have their work cut out for them in the NFC South, and they can't afford to lose one of their most important weapons.
We'll keep you updated as we know more. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery, Chris!
