Cousins' 3 TDs Sink Cowboys, Extend Losing Streak
The Dallas Cowboys, a team that's been on a wild rollercoaster this season, just hit a major bump in the road. They lost again, this time to the Minnesota Vikings, extending their losing streak to a painful three games. The main culprit? Kirk Cousins, the Vikings quarterback, who threw for three touchdowns and just flat-out dominated the game.
It was a game of two halves, or maybe more accurately, two quarters. The Cowboys actually started strong, putting up 14 points in the first quarter thanks to a Dak Prescott touchdown pass to CeeDee Lamb. But then, things went south. The Vikings' offense clicked into gear, and Cousins started throwing lasers. He connected with Justin Jefferson for two touchdowns, and then later found Adam Thielen for another.
By halftime, the Vikings were up 24-14. The Cowboys offense struggled to find any rhythm after that first quarter, and the defense couldn't stop the Vikings' attack. The Vikings added another 10 points in the third quarter, and even though the Cowboys scored a touchdown in the fourth, it was too little, too late.
The loss hurts, especially after the Cowboys had won three games in a row before this skid. Fans are starting to get a little anxious, and the pressure is mounting on the Cowboys. They need to figure out how to get back on track, and fast. They've got a tough schedule ahead, and they need to start playing like the team we all know they can be.
Maybe a little more Dak magic is what they need? Or maybe they need to find a way to shut down Cousins next time they face him? Whatever it is, the Cowboys need to make a change soon, or this losing streak could get a whole lot longer.
