Cowboys Off to a Slow Start, Eatman Empty
The Dallas Cowboys started the season with a whimper, not a bang. Yeah, I know, shocking, right? Dak Prescott looked rusty, the offensive line was shaky, and Ezekiel Elliott just couldn't find the end zone. It was like watching a high school team trying to figure out their playbook.
The Real Issue: Eatman's Empty Hands
While everyone was focused on Dak's struggles, there was a bigger issue lurking in the shadows. Dalton Schultz was a ghost, and Michael Gallup was more interested in catching air than the ball. But the biggest disappointment? Tight end Jake Ferguson, the "next big thing," had a big ol' case of the drops. It was like he'd never even held a football before.
The Solution? Gotta Find a Way to Feed the Beast!
This team needs to find a way to get their receivers involved, and fast! If you want to make a run in the playoffs, you gotta get your playmakers the ball. The coaches gotta figure out a way to get these guys open and make it happen. We're talking about Kellen Moore, the offensive genius himself. He's gotta get creative, get these guys some one-on-one matchups, and get those hands working.
A Word of Caution
I'm not saying the Cowboys are doomed. This is just a wake-up call. They have the talent, they have the potential, they just need to get their act together. The Cowboys need to find a way to get their offense humming, or else they'll be stuck in neutral.
And while they're at it, maybe they can get a little more creative with the play calling. I'm talking about some real game-changing plays, not the same old boring stuff. Get those receivers running deep, get them some misdirection, get them some touchdowns!
