It all started innocently enough. We were watching a Dolphins game – you know, usual Sunday afternoon thing – and Lily, who's only seven, blurted out, "Dolphins are gonna lose, Dad!" Now, I’m a die-hard Dolphins fan, so naturally, I scoffed. "Don't be silly, sweetie," I said. But guess what? She was right. Dead right. The Dolphins choked. Hard. I was bummed, but… wow.

I chalked it up to luck. A lucky guess. Then it happened again. And again. And again. Before each game, Lily would confidently declare whether the Fins would win or lose. And she kept nailing it. We're talking a winning streak of predictions that's seriously unsettling. It’s gotten to the point where my buddies are texting me before games, asking for Lily's "inside scoop." It's ridiculous.
