"Don't Move" Review: A Disappointing Thriller That Just Doesn't Move
"Don't Move" promised a heart-stopping thriller, a nail-biting experience that would have you glued to your seat. Unfortunately, it fell flat. Seriously flat. The film, despite its intriguing premise, failed to deliver on its potential, ultimately leaving me feeling bored and disappointed.
The story, centered around a family trapped in their home by an unknown threat, had promise. The setup was intriguing - a mysterious force keeps them from leaving, with no explanation as to why. But the script, lacking depth and originality, felt predictable and underdeveloped. It was like watching a movie that had already been made a thousand times before.
And then there's the acting. Oh, the acting. It was like watching a bunch of high schoolers trying to be serious. No emotion, no depth, just a bunch of flat, lifeless performances. The characters felt two-dimensional, and I never felt connected to their plight. The lead actor, who should have been the film's anchor, delivered a performance that could only be described as wooden. It was painful to watch.
This movie just didn't move me. The suspense was nonexistent, the scares were predictable, and the story lacked any real heart. It was like watching paint dry, except less interesting.
If you're looking for a thrilling, suspenseful film, look elsewhere. "Don't Move" is a missed opportunity, a film that could have been so much more. But it wasn't. Just don't move - you'll be better off.
