"Don't Move" Review: A Thriller That Doesn't Move You
Okay, so you're looking for a good thriller, right? Something that'll keep you on the edge of your seat, make you jump a little, maybe even leave you feeling a bit creeped out. You know, like a good thriller should. Well, let me tell you, "Don't Move" isn't it. It's more like a "Don't Bother" kind of flick.
The premise is actually pretty decent. We've got a group of friends who decide to spend a weekend in a secluded cabin in the woods. Sounds familiar, right? But "Don't Move" is a story of secrets, betrayals, and a whole lot of… nothing. The whole thing just felt underwhelming, like watching paint dry, but with less color.
The main problem? The acting. Oh man, the acting. It was like everyone was auditioning for a high school drama club, and not even the good kids. The dialogue felt stilted, and the characters lacked any real depth or emotional connection. You couldn't even muster up a shred of sympathy for them, which is a bummer in a horror/thriller, right?
The plot itself also stumbled along, dragging its feet like a toddler in a grocery store. The tension never really built, and the twists and turns, well, let's just say they were predictable. If you're a seasoned horror fan, you'll be able to spot the big reveal coming from a mile away.
Look, if you're desperate for something to watch, you could probably do worse than "Don't Move," but trust me, you could also do a lot better. There are so many other thrillers out there that will actually keep you entertained and maybe even scared. This one just… doesn't. It's like a bad dream that you forget the second you wake up.
Don't Move: Skip It.
