Morocco's Heartbreak: Former Star Barrada Passes Away at 35
It’s a sad day for Moroccan football fans as former star Abdelhamid El Kaoutari Barrada, known affectionately as “Barrada”, passed away on July 20, 2023, at the young age of 35. This news hit the Moroccan football community like a ton of bricks.
A Footballing Prodigy
Barrada started his career in 2009 with the Moroccan team Wydad Casablanca, making his mark in his home country before heading to the greener pastures of Europe. He went on to play for Getafe in Spain, Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates, Angers in France, and finally, Dijon, also in France.
