FPL GW8: Johnson, Saliba Fail to Deliver - A Captain's Nightmare
Oh, the pain. Another week of FPL, another week of anguish. This time, it was the captain's armband that let us down. We all had big hopes for Johnson and Saliba in GW8, but they both ended up being total flops.
It's one thing to have a bad week, but when your captain lets you down, it's just salt in the wound. I had Johnson as my captain, and I'm pretty sure I've aged a year in the last few days. He's a good player, don't get me wrong, but he just didn't show up against the Blades. I'm not sure what happened to Saliba either. Maybe he was suffering from the second-season syndrome or something. He didn't seem to have the same energy he did earlier in the season.
But hey, it happens, right? There's always next week. I'm still optimistic, even if it's starting to feel like a long shot to win my mini-league. I mean, who'd have thought that Johnson would be a blank in a game against a struggling Sheffield side?
The Takeaway
I'm not going to lie, it's been a tough week. But I'm not giving up. I'm going to keep grinding and try to get back on track. And maybe, just maybe, I'll be laughing at the end of the season.
What's Next
Well, the transfer window is coming up, so maybe I'll shake things up a bit and try a new strategy. It's all about adapting to the situation, right? I'm going to be keeping a close eye on all the upcoming games and see who's in good form. Hopefully, I can make some good choices and finally have a decent week!
