FPL GW8: Johnson, Solanke Underwhelm New Owners
Ugh, another week, another set of FPL disappointments. This time, it was the turn of new owners of Callum Wilson and Dominic Solanke to feel the sting of FPL heartbreak.
Let's be honest, both players were hot picks this week, with Wilson's return from injury and Solanke's goal-scoring form for Bournemouth making them must-haves in many teams.
But alas, it wasn't to be.
Wilson, despite a promising start, was kept quiet by a solid Brentford defense. He managed just one shot on goal, and no points for FPL managers.
Solanke, meanwhile, struggled to make an impact against a determined Crystal Palace side. His goal drought continued, leaving many owners feeling frustrated.
It's not all doom and gloom, though. Both players are still capable of big scores in the coming weeks. Wilson, in particular, has a good fixture list on the horizon. Solanke, however, needs to find his scoring boots quickly.
For now, it's time to assess the damage and move on. Maybe we'll learn to avoid the hype train next time and stay grounded.
On to GW9!
