It’s a tough one to write, honestly. Holden Trent, the former Union goalkeeper who lit up the field with his incredible saves and contagious energy, passed away this week at the age of 25. The news hit everyone hard, and the soccer community is in mourning.
Holden wasn't just a great player, he was a bright light. He had this infectious enthusiasm that made you want to cheer, even if he was just practicing. He was a natural leader on and off the field, always encouraging his teammates and motivating the crowd. He was the kind of guy who made everyone around him feel like they were part of something special.
