What a Game!
The first period was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading goals. The Flames got on the board first, but the Canes answered right back, with a goal from Sebastian Aho. The Canes ended up taking the lead with a goal from Martin Necas, only for the Flames to tie it up before the end of the first period.
The Second Period:
The second period saw more of the same, with both teams pushing hard for a lead. But the Canes were able to get another goal, thanks to Andrei Svechnikov, giving them a 3-2 lead going into the third period.
The Third Period:
The third period was where things got really interesting. The Flames tied the game early, putting the pressure back on the Canes. But the Canes didn't let up. And then it happened! With just over 5 minutes left in the game, Jordan Staal found Brett Pesce for a beautiful pass. Pesce then set up Max Pacioretty, who sent the puck over to Paul Stastny for the game-winning goal!
