JDT Rolls Over Selangor in Dominant 3-0 Win
Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) absolutely crushed Selangor in Petaling Jaya, leaving the home team looking like a bunch of amateurs in a 3-0 victory. JDT showed why they're the reigning champions, playing with a level of precision and dominance that left Selangor gasping for air.
From the very first whistle, JDT was on the front foot. Their attacking style was intense and unrelenting, constantly putting pressure on the Selangor defense. It was only a matter of time before the goals started flowing.
The first goal came in the 20th minute, when Bergson, the Brazilian striker, headed in a perfectly placed cross from Arif Aiman. The goal seemed to deflate Selangor's spirits as JDT continued to dominate possession and create chances.
The second goal was a work of art. In the 35th minute, Arif Aiman, who was on fire, cut inside past a couple of defenders and unleashed a powerful shot that flew past the helpless Selangor keeper. This goal really broke Selangor's back, and they seemed completely lost on the pitch.
The final nail in the coffin came in the 55th minute when Bergson, with a typical poacher's finish, slotted home a low cross from Safawi Rashid. The goal capped off a truly dominant performance from JDT, who showed unbelievable teamwork and individual brilliance.
Selangor, on the other hand, looked lost and disjointed throughout the game. They seemed unable to cope with JDT's intensity and pace, and their attack was nonexistent. It's tough to watch a team get completely outplayed like that, and it's a real wake-up call for Selangor, who need to step up their game if they want to compete with the best.
JDT, meanwhile, is looking unstoppable. This win further strengthens their grip on the top of the table, and they'll be a force to be reckoned with in the rest of the season. The championship title is already looking like theirs to lose.
