You know how much I love college football, right? And you know who else loves it? Kirk Herbstreit. He's like the voice of the game, always breaking down the big plays and the big moments. But what you might not know is how much Kirk loves his dogs, especially his golden retriever, Ben.

Ben was more than just a pet to Kirk. He was a loyal companion, a constant presence, and a real part of the Herbstreit family. They'd been together for years, through all the ups and downs of football season. You'd often see Ben hanging out with Kirk on the sidelines, and even during his ESPN appearances, you could hear Ben's tail wagging in the background.

But sadly, last week, Ben passed away. It was a tough loss for Kirk, and it broke the hearts of many football fans who had grown attached to Ben. It's hard to lose a furry friend, especially one who's been there through so much.

I'm not gonna lie, it was tough to see Kirk share the news. It really made me realize how much our pets are a part of our lives. He's been open about how much Ben meant to him, and how much he'll miss his furry buddy. He's also reminded us that even though Ben's gone, his memory will live on.
