Littlest Saints: Aquinas School's All Saints Day Celebration
Okay, so picture this: a bunch of little kids, dressed up as saints, running around a school. Sounds pretty cute, right? That's exactly what happens at Aquinas School every year for their All Saints Day celebration! It's seriously adorable and a super fun day for everyone.
What is All Saints Day?
For those who don't know, All Saints Day is a Christian holiday that's celebrated on November 1st. It's a day to honor all the saints, both known and unknown, who've gone before us. It's a big deal for Catholics, and Aquinas School, being a Catholic school, really goes all out to celebrate.
The Littlest Saints Take Over
The big day starts with a special Mass, where the kids all wear their saint costumes. And let me tell you, these costumes are seriously awesome! I'm talking homemade halo's, cardboard staffs, and even a couple of homemade "Jesus" robes (always a hit with the little ones).
After Mass, it's time for the fun stuff. The kids get to participate in a "Saints Parade" through the school, which is basically just a big, happy parade with lots of singing and waving. Then there's a big potluck lunch where everyone gets to feast on delicious food and hang out with friends.
A Day of Learning and Fun
The whole event is a super cool way for the kids to learn about the lives of different saints and their importance in the Catholic faith. But it's also just a really fun day for the kids to dress up, play games, and make memories. It's honestly one of my favorite school events, because it's so joyful and heartwarming to see all those little kids so excited to celebrate their faith.
A Tradition Worth Keeping
Aquinas School's All Saints Day celebration is a beautiful tradition, and it's easy to see why it's so important to the school community. It's a day to remember those who've gone before us, to learn about our faith, and to have a whole lot of fun. And honestly, who doesn't love a day filled with little kids dressed as saints?
