Man City Ratings: Foden Off-Form Against Tottenham
It wasn't the prettiest performance from Pep Guardiola's men, and Phil Foden definitely wasn't at his best. Let's dive into the individual player ratings from City's draw against Tottenham.
Ederson - 7/10
He was a solid presence between the sticks, even if he was rarely tested. Made one or two important saves, but it wasn't a game where he had to be at his absolute best.
Kyle Walker - 8/10
Walker was absolutely flying down the right flank! His pace and energy were a real threat, and he even managed to get forward enough to send in a few dangerous crosses.
John Stones - 7/10
Solid as always, Stones was a rock in defense. He made some crucial interventions and kept everything organized in the backline.
Ruben Dias - 7/10
A good, solid performance from Dias. Nothing flashy, but he was a real presence at the heart of the defense.
Nathan Ake - 6/10
Ake had a few shaky moments, especially in the first half. Not his best performance, but he did improve as the game went on.
Rodri - 7/10
Rodri was his usual self, controlling the midfield with his intelligent play and impressive passing range.
Bernardo Silva - 7/10
Bernardo was everywhere, buzzing around the pitch and trying to create chances. He was a constant threat, but he couldn't quite find that killer pass.
Kevin De Bruyne - 6/10
De Bruyne wasn't at his best, but he still managed to put in a decent shift. He struggled to create clear-cut chances, but he kept the ball moving and played a key role in City's build-up play.
Phil Foden - 5/10
Yikes, Foden was off his game! He didn't look as sharp as usual, and he missed a couple of really good chances. He needs to bounce back from this performance.
Erling Haaland - 8/10
As usual, Haaland was a constant menace to Tottenham's defense. He was a physical presence, his movement was incredible, and he even created a few chances for his teammates.
Julian Alvarez - 6/10
Came on and made a difference. Alvarez looked lively and brought some extra energy to the attack.
Overall
Man City dominated possession and created chances, but they lacked that killer touch in front of goal. Foden's performance was especially disappointing, but overall, it wasn't a terrible result. Still, they'll need to be more clinical if they want to win the league.
