Man Utd Draw, But Mourinho Steals the Show
Man Utd drew their latest match, but the real story was Jose Mourinho's antics on the sidelines. It's a classic case of "the show must go on," even when the football's a bit meh.
The Red Devils, as they're affectionately (or sarcastically, depending on your stance) called, couldn't find the back of the net against a stubborn defense. The game was a snoozefest, with both sides failing to really ignite the crowd. But then, there was Jose. He's a master of the theatrical, a true drama king.
Mourinho was his usual self, prowling the sidelines like a caged lion, barking orders and getting into the ref's face. He was even caught having a good old-fashioned "chinwag" with the opposition manager, which was about as exciting as the match itself. The real highlights came when he "lost it" with a couple of his own players, which, let's be honest, was the only entertainment the fans got.
It's a shame, really. Manchester United should be a team that excites, that thrills. They should be scoring goals, not just goals in the drama department. But with Mourinho at the helm, it's all about the spectacle. He's a man who thrives on attention, even if it's negative.
Perhaps, though, it's a good thing. If the football's not great, at least we can rely on Mourinho to keep things interesting. He's a gift, a curse, a drama queen, a football manager. He's everything you love and hate about the game, all rolled into one. So, while the draw was disappointing, the show was definitely worth the price of admission. Let's just hope Mourinho can somehow inject some of that drama into the actual game next time.
