Brandt on GMFB: 49ers Time to Rise
The San Francisco 49ers have been a force in the NFL, but last season was a letdown. But, according to NFL Network analyst, Daniel Jeremiah, this season might be different.
Jeremiah, a familiar face on "Good Morning Football" (GMFB), believes the 49ers are primed for a resurgence. He points to the return of key players like Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Trey Lance as key factors in their potential success.
"The 49ers have all the pieces in place," Jeremiah explained on GMFB. "They have a young, talented quarterback in Trey Lance, a dynamic receiving core, and a dominant defense. If they can stay healthy, they're going to be a tough team to beat."
Jeremiah isn't just throwing out hot takes. He's got real, concrete reasons for his optimism. The 49ers' defense, already a strong unit, added veteran pass rusher Charles Omenihu to their roster, providing a boost to their pass-rushing ability.
But the real key might be the health of their quarterback, Trey Lance. After a promising rookie season, Lance went down with injury. If he can stay healthy and continue his development, the 49ers offense will be a potent force.
"They've got the talent," Jeremiah continued. "They've got the coaching. They've got the culture. Now it's just about getting over the hump and putting it all together."
Whether the 49ers can live up to Jeremiah's hype remains to be seen. But one thing's for sure: With all the pieces in place, they'll be a team to watch in the NFC West.
