Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Whakamaru Road
Whakamaru, New Zealand - Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Whakamaru Road near the intersection with State Highway 30 on Tuesday afternoon.
The crash, which involved a car and a truck, tragically claimed the life of one person. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 3 pm, but sadly, the driver of the car was declared deceased at the scene.
The truck driver, thankfully, escaped serious injury. Police are still working to establish the exact cause of the crash, and investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who saw either vehicle in the lead-up to the crash to contact them.
