Pernice's Got the Points, But Did He Get the Groove?
Strictly Come Dancing is a wild ride, isn't it? One week we're all about the glitz and glam, the next we're glued to the screen because, well, things just get a little interesting. This past Saturday was one of those interesting ones, folks. Let's dive right into the drama, shall we?
The talk of the town this week was, of course, the Strictly judges' scores for Giovanni Pernice and his partner, Rose Ayling-Ellis. The pair, who have been killing it all season, seemed to have stumbled a little bit with their American Smooth routine. But let's be real, it wasn't that bad!
Now, I'm not saying the judges were wrong, but let's be honest, Craig Revel Horwood has been known to throw out a low score or two. And this week, it seemed like he was really on a mission. After the dance, Craig gave Rose and Gio a measly six points! Now, six points? That's practically an insult in the world of Strictly!
The other judges weren't too thrilled with the routine either, but they weren't as harsh as Craig. Shirley Ballas, the head judge, gave the pair an eight, and Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke gave them a seven each.
So, what happened? Were they really that off-key? Maybe. But I think it was a little harsh to only give them six points. Gio is a professional dancer for goodness sake! He knows how to move, and Rose has come so far this season. I'm sure they're both a little bummed about the low scores, but hey, that's Strictly for you!
Overall, the scores were definitely lower than we've seen from Rose and Gio in previous weeks. But they're still a force to be reckoned with! And let's face it, they probably won't let a few low scores get them down. They'll be back next week, ready to slay the dancefloor!
