Suns Sink the Mavs in Season Opener!
Phoenix Takes Game 1!
The Phoenix Suns kicked off their 2024-2025 season with a bang, crushing the Dallas Mavericks 120-100 in a dominant performance at the Footprint Center. The Suns looked sharp from the get-go, showing no signs of rust after the long summer break.
Kevin Durant led the way for Phoenix, dropping 32 points and dishing out 7 assists. He was absolutely on fire in the first half, scoring 20 points and showing that he's ready to carry this team to the promised land. Devin Booker was also a force to be reckoned with, chipping in 25 points and looking super smooth on the court.
The Mavs, on the other hand, looked out of sorts and never really found their rhythm. Luka Doncic did his usual thing, putting up 27 points, but he didn't have much help. It was clear they missed Kyrie Irving, who's currently injured. The Mavs struggled to shoot from the field, and their defense was lackluster at best.
This game was a complete mismatch! The Suns’ defense was intense, forcing the Mavs into tough shots and disrupting their offense. It was a great start to the season for the Suns, who looked like a team on a mission.
The Mavs will need to figure things out quickly if they want to make any noise this season. The Suns are looking like a real threat.
Game 2 is already shaping up to be a must-watch!
