Survivor Series 2024: A Total Train Wreck? (TJR's Take)

So, Survivor Series 2024… man, where do I even begin? Let's just say it wasn't exactly the greatest night in wrestling history. I went in with high hopes, expecting some epic moments, some killer matches, you know? Instead, I got… well, a mixed bag, to put it mildly. Think lukewarm coffee on a cold morning – not bad, but definitely not what you'd call a thrilling experience.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Let's start with the good stuff, because there were some bright spots, even if they were few and far between. The opening tag team match had some seriously impressive spots. The energy in the arena was electric during those high-flying maneuvers. I mean, seriously impressive athleticism! But that's about as positive as it got, unfortunately.

The Matches That Fell Flat

Oh boy, the main event. Don't even get me started. It felt… rushed. Like they were trying to cram a whole storyline into fifteen minutes. It lacked the build-up it needed, leaving the audience feeling kinda cold. The crowd was totally dead by the end; crickets, I swear. Total letdown.

Another match that seriously missed the mark was the women's tag team match. The chemistry between the teams just wasn't there, which made the whole thing feel disjointed and frankly, boring. It was painful to watch at times; I almost felt bad for the wrestlers. Almost.

What Went Wrong?

This Survivor Series felt off. The pacing was all over the place. There were moments of brilliance, sure, but they were overshadowed by a lot of… meh. Maybe they tried to do too much? Too many storylines crammed into one night? It felt disorganised, like someone threw a bunch of matches together and hoped for the best. And that hope definitely wasn't realised.

Honestly, folks, I'm pretty disappointed. Survivor Series has always been a huge event in the wrestling calendar. This year? It just didn't live up to the hype. It felt rushed, the storylines were weak in places, and the overall pacing was a total mess. I'm hoping next year will be a massive improvement. Fingers crossed, right?
