Tech3's Acosta: No Fracture, Thailand Reassessment
Tech3's Augusto Fernandez is ready to race in Thailand after a scary crash in qualifying at the Japanese Grand Prix, with the Spaniard confirming he avoided a fracture.
The young rider took a heavy tumble in qualifying at Motegi, leaving him with a bruised wrist but thankfully no broken bones.
"The wrist is not perfect, I'm still a bit sore but I didn't break anything," Acosta explained. "I'm happy to be back on the bike and I want to fight for a good result in Thailand. I'm really motivated."
Acosta's crash was a scary moment for everyone involved, but it appears he's on the road to recovery. With the rider feeling good, he's now focusing on the upcoming Thai GP and making sure he's ready to tackle the demanding Chang International Circuit.
Reassessment for Thailand
While Acosta was able to avoid a fracture, the team has taken a cautious approach. The rider will undergo further assessments in Thailand to determine his fitness level and how he's responding to the injury.
"We'll take a look at how he's feeling on Thursday and make a decision then," said Tech3 boss Herve Poncharal. "We want to make sure he's 100% before we put him back on the bike."
Despite the injury, Acosta is still aiming for a good result in Thailand. He's currently 13th in the championship standings and is hoping to move up the order. He's also eyeing up a podium finish in the upcoming races, knowing that he's capable of achieving great things.
Looking ahead, Acosta is confident he can bounce back from this setback and continue his strong run of form. He's determined to make up for lost time and show everyone what he's truly capable of.
The Thai Grand Prix is a tough race, but Acosta is ready to take on the challenge. He's got the talent, the motivation, and the support of his team behind him. This weekend will be a big test for the young Spaniard, but with a positive mindset and a strong will, he's ready to prove himself.
