Venom 3 Review: The Last Dance Falls Flat
Let's face it, folks. We all love a good superhero flick. But sometimes, even the most beloved characters can fall flat. And that's exactly what happened with Venom 3: The Last Dance. This movie felt like a let-down, like a really bad song stuck on repeat.
The story felt like a tired rehash of previous films. We're talking the same old symbiote shenanigans, the same old "good vs. evil" plot, and, honestly, the same old Tom Hardy trying his best to make this thing work. You know what? I kinda feel bad for him, because this script was just bad.
It's like the writers just said, "Hey, let's throw in some random stuff and call it a day." The action sequences, which should've been epic, just weren't exciting. And the characters, well, they lacked depth. I mean, we've seen all this before! We've seen Venom eat people's brains. We've seen Eddie Brock struggle with the symbiote. We've seen them team up to save the day. I'm not saying that those things are bad, but after three movies, they've just lost their luster.
There were some moments that were actually kind of funny, and Hardy did a great job with the character's comedic timing. But even those moments couldn't save this movie from being a total snooze fest.
One of the biggest disappointments was the lack of a clear antagonist. Sure, there was a big bad guy, but he was just another generic baddie with a generic motivation. The movie desperately needed a strong villain, someone who could've really challenged Venom and Eddie.
In the end, Venom 3: The Last Dance just felt like a missed opportunity. This movie had the potential to be something truly special, but it just wasn't there. It was a predictable, uninspired, and ultimately forgettable film.
My recommendation? Skip it. Go watch something else. You'll thank me later.
